Chippewa Falls (WQOW) -- Hundreds of people gathered in Chippewa Falls to ring in a new season. Summer Shandy season, that is.
Leinie Lodge hosted a Summer Shandy release party Friday night and nearly 400 people showed up within the first hour. But Leinie's officials told News 18 the brewery isn't just about throwing parties, they make time to give back to the community as well.
"A part of the proceeds of all the tours that everyone goes on goes back to the Chippewa Valley for non-profits and charitable giving," said Lindsey Everson, the Leinie Lodge manager. She said they've donated hundred of thousands of dollars to the community over the years.
Everson also said Summer Shandy is back out on store shelves now.
