An Illinois man faces several charges after leading state troopers and deputies on a chase that went for nearly 20 miles.
Jackson County Sheriff Duane Waldera said that deputies were asked to help the Wisconsin State Patrol pull over a vehicle that was driving recklessly on westbound I-94 Thursday afternoon around 2 p.m.
When deputies located the driver, they saw his vehicle almost hit other vehicles, weave in and out of traffic, and drive down the middle of the two lanes.
The driver didn't stop for the deputies.
After chasing the vehicle for 18 miles, state troopers used a tire deflation device to stop the vehicle.
The driver, identified as George W. Bryce, 20, of Beach Park, Illinois, was then arrested.
He's now facing charges in Jackson County for OWI 1st Offense, Knowingly Flee an Officer, and Recklessly Endangering Safety.
