The UW Athletic Board approves contact extensions for four coaches through 2023

MADISON (WKOW) -

The UW Athletic Board met Friday afternoon and approved the following recommendations of the UW Department of Athletics regarding contracts for winter sports head coaches.

Men’s basketball coach Greg Gard’s five-year contract was renewed through May 31, 2023.

Women’s basketball coach Jonathan Tsipis’ five-year contract was renewed through May 31, 2023.

Women’s hockey coach Mark Johnson’s five-year contract was renewed through June 30, 2023.

Men’s hockey coach Tony Granato’s five-year contract was renewed through June 30, 2023.
