Degen Berglund will layoff a number of employees as it closes its medical supply store, located at 4000 Mormon Coulee Road in La Crosse.
The layoffs will begin in phases, starting July 8 and continuing through August 31 at the Home Medical Equipment and Services store.
30 employees will need to find new jobs.
In a statement from the company, it said industry challenges have made it more difficult to provide service to people needing durable medical equipment, home medical equipment, and CPAP supplies and services.
Instead, Degen Berglund will focus on its pharmacy and retail business.
The company said it will sell its CPAP business, or continuous positive airways pressure, to Family Medical Supply and CPAP store, also located in La Crosse.
CPAP is a device for people battling sleep apnea.
During the transition, Degen Berglund said it will help its patients find new providers. They also said they'll help their current employees find new jobs.
None of the Degen Berglund pharmacies are impacted by this decision and will remain open.
