Setup for the 21st Freedom Honor Flight began Friday morning.
Volunteers swarmed hangar number 4 at Colgan Air Service in preparation for the trip to Washington, D.C on Saturday.
Tables, chairs, signage, and snacks were set out help see the veterans off. This year, 4 World War II veterans, 61 Korean War veterans, and multiple Vietnam veterans will take to the sky to visit our nation's monuments built in their honor.
With this flight comes a lot of set-up, and a lot of help from volunteers, "We are very blessed with a great core of volunteers and even the board of directors for the Freedom Honor Flight itself all of those people, all 12, have been together for ten years not so you could say we have this down pat," said Pat Stephans the Freedom Honor Flight service president.
Veterans will arrive at Colgan Air Hangar number 4 Saturday morning around 5 am.
