One person is dead after an officer involved shooting in Clark County Friday evening.
Officials said it happened in the township of York late Friday evening.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, police tried to stop a person with a felony warrant and a high speed chase ensued.
They said that stop sticks were deployed to stop the car. According to officials, the person got out of the car and showed a firearm. They said the person, along with a Clark County sheriff's deputy and a Loyal police officer exchanged gunfire.
The person was taken to the hospital where they died from their injuries.
No officers were injured in the exchange of gunfire.
The deputy and officer are on paid administrative leave, as is protocol during the investigation.
