La Crosse is one of seven Wisconsin cities to make up a dubious list of the nation's 10 'drunkest' cities.
24/7 Wall Street named La Crosse the tenth drunkest city in the nation. It's the second-straight year the La Crosse metropolitan area has been in that spot.
Plenty of other cities in the Badger State made appearances on the list. Green Bay was named the drunkest city in the nation. The Wisconsin cities that ranked among the top ten include Eau Claire (#2), Appleton (#3), Madison (#4), Oshkosh (#6), & Wausau (#9). Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and Milwaukee rounded out the top 20 drunkest cities. Across Wisconsin, 26.2% of adults drink excessively, the largest share of any U.S. state.
On the other side of the coin, Wall Street 24/7 found the driest cities in America. Provo-Orem, Utah was named the driest city in the United States.
The group comes up with their rankings by analyzing self-reported data on binge drinking.
