400 anglers from across the country took over the Mississippi River Thursday morning for opening day of the Cabela's National Team Championship.
Thursday was the first day of the three day event taking place in pools 7, 8, and 9 of the Mississippi River. Anglers are allowed five fish per day and are scored on the total weight of those fish.
After Friday the field will be cut down to the top 25 anglers. The grand prize, over $95,000 for the winning team plus a Ranger boat and Mercury motor. WXOW would also like to thank Ken Kramer for allowing us on his boat to capture all the action.
