The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department said an employee at the Hi-Crush Sand Mine in Whitehall is okay after a bulldozer he was on went underwater in a pond.
The sheriff's office said they received the first call around 7:53 a.m. on Monday for a man submerged in a bulldozer in a pond. A number of units arrived on the scene to help rescue the man. He was eventually pulled to safely from the bulldozer by a rescue boat after two hours.
The sheriff's office said due to the length of the rescue, several firefighters needed medical attention, but all were treated and released for minor injuries at Tri County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall.
A number of area emergency crews responded to the scene, including the Jackson County Dive Team and Gundersen AIR medical helicopter.
The name of the man who was trapped wasn't immediately released by the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office.
