Ultimate Flying Canines to Perform for Shelter Dogs in Tomah

Tomah, WI (WXOW) -

Chasing Daylight Animal Rescue is bringing in the big dogs to raise money for area animals.

Todd Duncan said he fell into training animals when he watched a man play frisbee with his dog in an Atlanta park.

After years of competing he took his show on the road for entertainment purposes and to help animal charities.

He brings his act, Ultimate Flying Canines on the road to perform at fairs and festivals around the country. Spectators are often surprised to learn where his dogs come from.

"I think they are pretty taken aback...when they see when you give an animal a love and some attention, it doesn't matter if they come from a shelter or from just down the road. When you give them that second chance in life they just want to love and please you and they even seem to train easier," said Duncan.

You can see Todd and his canines in action this Sunday at Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter in Tomah. Tickets are $25.  All the money raised stays local to spay and neuter strays, provide medical care including vaccinations and to pay for foster care until shelter dogs find their forever home.

News 19's Heather Armstrong is emceeing the event from 12 until 3 o'clock Sunday June 3 at Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter.
