The Blair-Taylor softball team is headed back to familiar territory.
The Wildcats will take on Oakfield Thursday in the WIAA Division 5 semifinals.
It's the second year in a row at State for Blair-Taylor.
They earned their trip thanks to a 19-1 record this season.
Just about every is back from last year's squad that lost in the state championship last year.
Last year it was a bit of a surprise.
But this year the Wildcats were a favorite to get back.
"The girls at the beginning of the year were feeling a little bit of the pressure. Everybody expected it since we returned our entire team. We felt a little pressure and maybe we showed that a little early on. And then we just relaxed and went one game at a time. But as it got closer and closer that pressure was coming back a little bit and I'm just so proud of how the girls reacted and how they handled it. Man, what a team," said head coach Greg Bratina.
"Feeling pretty confident. Now we know what we're getting into. We've seen Goodman. We've seen the hotel. We've seen everything. It's really great to be back," said pitcher Lauren Steien.
Thursday evening's game is set for 7 PM at Goodman Diamond in Madison.
