A flight from CWA to Minneapolis was delayed after three people got into a "verbal altercation," according to Director of Operations and Management Jim Olson.
Olson said the incident was about an issue over a seat.
"We've never had an incident like this at the airport," Olson told our Wausau affiliate WAOW News 9. "It goes to show that flying is changing and people are a little bit more sensitive to what's happening and probably not allowing things to happen on the aircraft without saying something."
Officials say the Delta crew determined the flight could not continue on and returned the plane to the gate. The three were removed, interviewed and booked on later flights.
The people involved included two people and another passenger, Olson told News 9. He said the pair did not know the other passenger prior to the flight.
The flight was delayed for more than an hour.
