Storlie, Meiners hold the key For Caledonia

Posted: Updated:

Caledonia will take it's place on center stage Thursday at 12:30 PM in St. Cloud when they take on Minnehaha Academy in the Class AA quarterfinals.

To get by Caledonia, you need to get by their two aces.

Casey Storlie and Tate Meiners have been dominant on the mound this season.

The Warriors have given up two runs or less in 14 of the teams 21 wins this season.

Storlie and Meiners have led the way.

"Everybody's energy is about the same but when Casey is on the mound, it's just another whole level.  It's like 'all right, here we go.  Let's get two runs.'  Two runs it's going to be tough to beat us when he's on.  Tate has that bulldog mentality.  He's another big game pitcher.  It's what you need when you get to this level.  We've been very blessed to have Casey Storlie and Tate Meiners on the pitching rotation," said Caledonia assistant coach Shawn Bauer.

If Caledonia wins Thursday and Friday they will play at Target Field on Saturday for the State title.
