LizFest is this Saturday in La Crescent. Living for Liz Co-Founder Monica Holman explained the details.
Each year, lung cancer takes more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined yet receives the least amount of research funding of all major cancers. We vow to do our due diligence in making sure you will be proud of where your money goes when donating to our case.
Living for Liz's primary purpose is to educate the general public about lung cancer, raise money to fund lung cancer research, and provide useful resources and information for families and individuals struggling with lung cancer.
Living For Liz was created to honor Elizabeth Holman-Melde, a non smoker, who passed away seven short months after being diagnosed with lung cancer in September, 2011. She had just gotten married and was 25 years old.
You can bring the whole family to Abnet Field August 11th for the 7th Annual Lizfest celebration, There is something for everyone including golf, volleyball and bags tournaments, bingo, Jenga, kids games, food & beverage for purchase, live music, and a beer garden.
All proceeds will benefit local lung cancer research and patient assistance programs. We're excited to welcome back The Appleblossom Bicycle Tour hosted by the La Crescent Rotary. Those proceeds benefit polio eradication efforts. No button required.
