Never before has Barak Obama spoken in La Crosse.
That all changes tomorrow morning when the Democratic presidential nominee holds a rally.
His supporters are pulling out all the stops for this first visit.
Although the Democratic presidential candidate has made trips to other parts of the state, this will be Obama's first appearance in La Crosse.
Preparations are underway for tomorrow morning's rally.
Volunteers received word that Senator Barrack Obama would be in La Crosse about three days ago.
Since that time, the La Crosse County Democratic headquarters has become a beehive of activity.
Volunteer Vicki Burke says, "Yesterday, it was a 12 hour day."
Volunteer coordinators say about one hundred volunteers are expected to pitch in and help during the rally.
Meetings are being held in advance to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Volunteer Coordinator Ike Rebout says, "Right now, we're putting all our volunteers in order. Basically, figuring where they are going to be, what time they are going to be."
The rally will be held outside the La Crosse Center.
Officials say more than four thousand supporters could turn-out, though the number could be even higher.
Gates will open up at eight o'clock.
The program will begin at ten.
The rally is free and open to the public.
The public entrance is on Main and Second Streets.
