They invited Youth Frontiers to participate in the retreat. They are an organization dedicated to teaching values. Children learned about bulling and the effects it can have on others.
"If we were to target one group of kids, it would be probably the eighty percent of the kids we call the bystanders, that are not getting bullied and aren't doing the bulling, but aren't really doing anything to stop it. We're trying to impower them to do the right thing and give them tools to do that," says Joe Beckman, Youth Frontiers Retreat Director.
Kids also broke into groups along with holding group discussions. They learned about values and building character and how to create a positive school environment.
