LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – For the second year, Bike And Build made their way to La Crosse to offer free bike repairs for those who are homeless or on the edge of homelessness.
Free food and live music also was a part of the event which was held at the Salvation Army on Sunday.
“it’s an impact because a lot of people are unfortunate, it’s hard for them to get from plan A to plan B,” said Intake Worker Angel Martinez. “Work, school, or anything they can so having a bike there, and let’s say they can’t get it fixed because they can’t afford it, we’re willing to help them out.”
Bike And Build raises money and awareness as they pedal across the country for affordable housing.
