LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - A new community gathering space celebrated its grand opening on Thursday.
The space is known as the Community Connections Center and it serves as a spot to host a variety of programs and activities for all community members including a La Crosse County Nutrition Program meal site.
The Community Connections Center is a collaboration between the La Crosse Parks and Recreation Department, The La Crosse Aging and Disabilities Resource Center, and the La Crosse Library.
"I think it just the title says it the community connection center it brings everyone together and it just gives out the community so it offers programs and whatever people want we kind of have it here," said community program specialist Kat Craugh.
The Community Connections Center is located at 1407 Saint Andrew Street inside the old Rubber Mills building.
