Waukesha Police asks community to submit video taken at parade tragedy

WAUKESHA (WKOW) — The Waukesha Police Department is hoping the community can help their investigation by submitting original video taken at the Waukesha Christmas parade Sunday.

"We know many of you are healing both physically and/or emotionally from the tragedy at the Christmas parade," the department wrote in a Facebook post. "Despite that, we ask that you look at your own video footage you may have taken at the parade to see if you can help us."

Police are asking for footage of the suspect vehicle, a red Ford Escape, in the parade route or fleeing the scene. The Facebook post specifies that police are seeking video captured by individuals themselves — not video they were sent or saw on social media.

"If you know someone who may have video please reach out to them and encourage them to submit their information," the post reads.

Anyone with original video can click here to submit it, along with contact information so police can be in contact.
