(WXOW) - Celebrate 100 years of Scouting in the Coulee Region this May.
The Gateway Area Council will host a couple of major events for their centennial the weekend of May 6th.Â
On Friday night, an evening gala will take place at the La Crosse Center.
Three special guests will be on hand, including Mark Lee, an astronaut and Eagle Scout from Viroqua. Lee will be recognized with the Honored Eagle Scout Award.
On Saturday, families and friends of Scouting are invited out to the Centennial Camporee at Camp Decorah.Â
Different activities and displays will be on hand for kids and families to explore. View a full list right here. Events kick off at noon. A bonfire will take place at 5:30 p.m.Â
