WINONA, Minn. (WXOW) - Habitat for Humanity in the Winona area is asking for applications as they prepare for their next home building project.

Habitat is accepting applications between November 8 and December 15.

Once an applicant is chosen, they partner with Habitat to provide sweat equity volunteering to help build the home along with other volunteers from throughout the community.

In a statement, Habitat said that, "By working together from start to finish, Habitat helps homebuyers prepare for the responsibilities of homeownership."

Habitat has two community information sessions scheduled to answer questions about the application process or how to qualify. Both are at East End Rec from 5 pm to 7 p.m. The dates are Monday, November 15 and Tuesday, November 16.
