Rotary clubs in Onalaska and Holmen are hosting a community Thanksgiving Day Dinner on November 25.

ONALASKA, Wis. (WXOW) -  Rotary clubs in Onalaska and Holmen are hosting a community Thanksgiving Day Dinner on November 25.

The 11th annual dinner is open to the public and served in person at the Wisconsin National Guard Armory at 910 Oak Forest Drive in Onalaska from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It's hosted by the Onalaska Hilltopper Rotary, Onalaska Rotary Club, and Holmen Area Rotary Club.

A non-denominational blessing happens before the meal. There's also music from Joe Cody during the dinner.

COVID protocols will be followed.

"It's great to actually be able to bring the community to back together again and be able to make sure that they are coming together as a union and making sure we build the unity within the community," said co-founder Jean Lunde.

This year, organizers are expecting to serve about 1,600 meals this year, up 200 from Last year. They're serving a traditional meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, dessert, milk, and coffee.

Organizers ask that anyone wanting carry-outs or deliveries to reserve them before Monday, November 22. Those wanting carry-outs can reserve meals at the Onalaska/Holmen Thanksgiving Dinner website or by calling 608-667-1541.

Deliveries are available to residents in the City of Onalaska, Brice Prairie, and Village of Holmen at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, or 1:00 p.m. at the Onalaska/Holmen Thanksgiving Dinner website or by calling 608-667-1541.

Donations, both of time and financially, from the community help make the dinner possible. Those wishing to help contribute either to the dinner, can find more information at the Onalaska/Holmen Thanksgiving Dinner website
