LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Teaching more young children about nature and the outdoors is the goal of WisCorps' expansion of their Nature School Day Camps.
The camps, which began last September, are designed for 4-6 years olds. They run from 12:30-3:30 Monday through Friday through May.
“We are excited to announce that we are increasing our Nature School Day Camp sessions to give more parents a nature-themed option for their children that will enhance what they are already learning in the classroom as we deal with the impact of COVID-19," said Stephanie Hanna, the WisCorps' Environmental Educational program manager. Nature School Day Camp provides young children with a fun and meaningful outdoor experience while providing some release time for their parents.”
WisCorps said in a statement that there's a new nature-related theme each week with games, crafts, and learning activities.
The Nature School Day Camps hold sessions with small groups and practices COVID-19 safety measures according to WisCorps.
