UW-L football drops to 2-1 with tough loss on the road

ALLENDALE, MI. (WXOW) - The UW-La Crosse Eagles lose their first game of the season, 45-24 to Grand Valley State.

The division three Eagles traveled eight hours east to play division two, GVS and it was a hard fought battle in the first half.

The Eagles jumped out to a 14-7 lead in the first quarter. Quarterback, Jakob Parks hit wide receiver, Jake Simuncak for a one yard touchdown and a 30 yard touchdown. Simuncak now has four touchdowns on the season.

GVS was able to break down the UW-L defense and rallied off 38 points after the first quarter.

UW-L will try to get back in the win column as conference play starts on October 2nd when the Eagles play at UW-River falls.
