ALBION, MI. (WXOW) - The UW-La Crosse football team defeated Albion College 58-23 to advance to the NCAA second round.

The Eagles proved how impressive the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is as they went into halftime on the road up by 31 points.

Eagle running back, Joey Stutzman averaged over seven yards a carry and finished with 138 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback, Jakob Parks was throwing a great ball on Saturday. He was 24-30 for five touchdowns and zero interceptions.

UW-L looked comfortable in their first playoff game since 2006.

The Eagles will now go on the road again next Saturday as they'll play the number one ranked team in the country, North Central.
